Literature Text

I spit the words out,
Like they didn’t belong in my mouth,
But neither do they belong in the air.
I can feel the regret,
Bearing down on my shoulders,
Biting through my skin,
Tearing through the sinews
And the muscles,
Right down to the bone.
Weighing down,
Until it
Breaks
And this break feels like it will be
Irreparable.
Pretty sure I wrote something with similar lines before. o_o
