My Unwanted Addiction
I’m stuck.
I can’t break out,
Can’t break out of
This unbreakable habit.
What got me on it?
I don’t remember,
Don’t remember any of it anymore,
It’s too unclear.
I’m here again.
I shouldn’t be here,
I know I shouldn’t ever return again,
Yet here I am.
Why can’t I stop?
I try to stop,
But try as I may,
I find myself roaming endlessly,
Just yearning for it.
It feels so wrong.
I know it is,
But why does it
Also feel so right?
Will somebody help me?
I need help getting out of this mess,
This mess I let myself get into,
Without knowing what would happen.
I’m lost.
I can’t find my way,
My way back to the right track,
Please, will somebody please guide me?

This is my entry for The Great Glass Writeaway Competition. [link]
The topic is addiction. For those of you who might want to join, the deadline's Saturday August 23rd 2008.
I've had quite a bad addiction on manga.
I know, kinda lame right. But I'm off it now, and I don't plan on getting back on it till I know I won't get hooked.
This poem though, isn't based on that one addiction, but on various ones I've had through out the years.
Let me know what you think.
